Background
The Tall Ships Festival is one of the largest outdoor events in Northeast Wisconsin. Green Bay was one of only six American cities selected to host the TALL SHIPS CHALLENGE* Great Lakes 2013. Over 60,000 people attend this three-day event featuring ship tours, on-board river excursions, educational programming, daytime entertainment, and activities for the entire family.
The Challenge
Our challenge was to help promote careers associated with ship building in Northeastern Wisconsin by creating a memorable interactive experience that could be shared through social media helping further brand the North Coast Marine Manufacturers Alliance.
The Strategy
We created a social media photo booth experience where visitors could choose to pose against one of seven customized tall ship backgrounds. Easy-to follow instructions guided the user through the whole photo taking process, at the end of which, they could share their special tallships experience via, email, Facebook or Twitter.
The Results
Day 1, Friday, Aug 16th  -  109 emails sent.
Day 2, Saturday, Aug 17th  -  127 emails sent.
Day 3, Sunday, Aug 18th  -  84 emails sent.
